Elisa "Helly" Scandella was born in Lecco on April,30,1987 from italian dad and french mum. At 7 she took her first steps to the music,attending by 10 years of keyboard lessons. During the teens,she starts to be attract by singing and decided to take singing lessons too,then specialized in opera singing until the soprano voice. At 14,helly founds the MEGABYTE (punk rock) in her city. At 16 she founds the KASALKATRAZ (that in 2004 changed name in HYSTERIA -cover rock-). Helly then joined the LUX ATRA (gothik),singing at least with opera voice. Anyway that band met thousand troubles and Helly remains without a band. In a bit of time she recived the request to become the keyboardist/2nd vocalist of the band DREAM MAKERS (metal) and she accepted without doubts. After few months small problems arise within the group and Helly gets out from the band.But she didn't stop.She founds a band called BLACKPEARL MIGHT (prog) while with her friend Mich founds the CHOCOLATE too ( pop rock duet ). In 2007 Helly met Mek,drums player of the band IN-SIGHT (melodic death metal). She was subjected to many trials in rehearsal studio in Meda but at least she became the new official IN-SIGHT's growl/scream vocalist. Live shows,cd recordings,photos,reviews..it seemed that Helly's found the right band.After about 2 years,she felt some problems to the throath and decided to have a specialist visit.The situation is veeeeery bad: Helly cannot sing growl anymore. After about 6 months voice-rehab,she recived a request of a trial with a band. The band musicians are Alan(her school friend),Salvo and Ivan. The trial gone well and Helly became the official vocalist of the band. After a month the band chose the name : INSERT COIN . The 4 guys compose new tracks without a good end,so later INSERT COIN breaks. Few weeks later Helly decide to get in a viking band with her friend,Paolo.
The line up is not yet complete,the current members are: Helly(voice),Paolo(guitar),Alberto(guitar) and Kenger (bass).
The band is lookin' for a growl singer and a drummer.But something goes wrong by musical differences,and the band decays even before begin.Helly's engaged in an avant-garde metal project by Alberto and Kenger.Later guys decide to give the band a name: TUONELA.
The three guys are still looking for a drummer..a real drummer (now their drummer is Ale..a little drum machine used just in rehearsal studio);while they still playing some avant-garde metal covers in rehearsal studio,where Helly give'em a bit of gothic style using her lyrical soprano voice (after 5 years break).But something goes wrong and Helly gets out from the band for misunderstandings,still keeping a good friendship with Alberto.
After the end with her band TUONELA,Helly find the CRIMSON LAKE.
CRIMSON LAKE born in May 2010,by chance.
Helly,decide to start a Nightwish Tribute project,and she looks for members,until she find Tony and Claud ( Fading Illusions ),known years before in a rehearsal studio.
With'em there's Lorenzo,a very young and talented keyboarder and Mauro ( Fading Illusions ).
Ater little rehearsal,the guys are hired in some live show.
