The Stigmhate project was born in the fall of 1998 after the split of Sulphureous Church.
The same year the co-founders Mike and Cagliostro began working on the songwriting for a first full length album.
In summer ’98 the drummer Francesco Tresca (Funreal Cry, Power Quest) joined the band.
2002
Cagliostro left the band in February due to personal reasons .Tron joined the band on vocals and bass. With this lineup in July Stigmhate entered the Temple of Noise studios in Rome to record their first full length album produced by Christian Ice
2003Â
"Satisfied By The Cruelty" was released and distributed throughout Europe and the United States, obtaining good response from the press.
2004Â
In May, after some internal conflicts in the band, Mike decided to continue the project alone.
2005 - 2006
Two years of writing new material for the second album.
In August 2006 Cagliostro, founding member, rejoined the band. Stevan Omar joined the band as aÂ
session drummer to record the new songs.
In September 2006, the band entered "MAD" studios and " Human incapacity ", the second full-lenght album, was released. The artwork was designed by Lorenzo Mariani, well known artist in Italian and European scene.
2009Â
Claudio joined the band as a drummer, starting a collaboration with Mike focused on developing a new musical direction and writing new material. In September, Marco (Sin of Redemption) and Crive joined the band, respectively on guitar and bass.
2010Â
Cagliostro leaves the band in January due to divergences on the artistic direction taken by the other members, and Marco takes both care of second guitars and singing.
In May the band has finished the preproduction of nine songs and has already planned to enter the studio in October – November to record the third full-length, to be released by the end of the year.
