The band is born in 2007, when Davide “Dagon” Zaupa and Matteo “Zava” Zavattin decided to create a rock band. Its name was Black Sheeps. After some changes about sound and members, tha band was recalled Alba Gobra. At the same time Simone “Ryan” Bravo and Andrea “Cliff” Bortoletto enjoyed the band, as drummer and bass player. In the summer of 2010 Zava left the band, so the Gobras started to look for a new guitarist. They knew Matteo “Boss” Cerchier and decided to remain in 4 members. At that time, the Gobras started to seek their own sound, between thrash metal and doom metal, regularly attending Chimera's Lair, their so-called rehearsal. From that moment Chimera, the four headed creature, will be the badge of the strong link among Dagon, Ryan, Cliff and Boss. Now a day the sound research is in process.
During August 2011 the band started to record the firts EP. In that moment Boss left the band and a new guitarrist, Gianluca "Seth" Rorato, enjoyed the band.
In November 2011 the band chose to add a second (NOT RITHMIC) guitar, so Edoardo "Evol" Mariuzzo became part of Alba Gobra's family.
In February 2012 Riccardo Famà took the place of Evol, but soon (April 2012) Gobras decided to return with one guitarist and Riccardo's experience in the band ended.

“Chimera is lurking... and it's ready to pounce!”



Il gruppo naque nel 2007 dall'incontro tra Davide "Dagon" Zaupa e Matteo "Zava" Zavattin, con il nome Black Sheeps. Dopo una serie di evoluzioni sonore e cambi di line-up il gruppo cambiò nome in Alba Gobra, in concomitanza della significativa entrata del batterista Simone "Ryan" Bravo e del bassista Andrea "Cliff" Bortoletto. In questo periodo numerose furono le ricerche per un secondo chitarrista...e queste portarono all' incontro con Matteo "Boss" Cerchier. Di li a poco Zava scelse di lasciare il gruppo, a favore di altri orizzonti musicali. A quel punto i Gobra decisero di rimanere in quattro per ricercare al meglio le sonorità a cui puntavano. E fu in quel momento (autunno 2010) che la band, trovata la line-up definitiva, cominciò a frequentare più assiduamente la sala prove di Ryan, ribattezzata Chimera's Lair, a simboleggiare il clima simbiotico instaurato tra i quattro. In questo periodo, delineate le sfumature del genere che cercavano da tanto tempo, gli Alba Gobra iniziarono la fase compositiva che è in processo tutt'ora.
Durante l'agosto del 2011 la band iniziò a registrare il primo EP. Tuttavia le registrazioni furono rallentate dalla sostituzione di Boss con un nuovo chitarrista, Gianluca "Seth" Rorato.
Nel novembre dello stesso anno la band decise di reinserire una seconda chitarra (NO RITMICA). Fu così che Edoardo "Evol" Mariuzzo entrò a far parte della famiglia Gobra.
Nel febbraio 2012 Riccardo Famà prese il il posto di Evol, ma presto (aprile 2012) i Gobra decisero di ritornare con un unico chitarrista, ponendo fine all'esperienza di Riccardo nella band.
